Jeanine Bowen

In a professional career spanning over twenty-four years, South African born Jeanine Bowen has accumulated a unique background and extensive experience in the fields of hospital operations, emergency services, contact centre operations and technologies, training and skills development.


Specializing in the field of emergency management and services Jeanine has achieved high-level recognition for her knowledge and practical experience in Fire Fighting, Disaster Management, Health & Safety Management, Trauma Debriefing and Rape Support.  She is also a facilitator in CPR and First Aid and lectured on the specialized subject of Music Health and Law.


Leveraging on her practical experience and her passion for teaching and training, Jeanine has developed training manuals on Basic Ambulance Assistant, Call Centre Agent, Call Centre Supervisor, Call Centre Management, Call Centre Performance Management, Call Centre Leadership and Quality Assurance.  She has also developed manuals in the Emergency Field in First Aid, Emergency Call Taking, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Inter Hospital Transfers as well as Music Health & Law. Jeanine is an accomplished facilitator and has extensive experience in skills development and training specializing in emergency contact centre operations, technology and soft skills.


In addition to having high-level qualifications and skills in emergency services, Jeanine has gained considerable experience in other fields, namely; Hospital Management, Customer Services, Contact Centre Operations and Technology, Administration and Secretarial, Client Liaison, Telesales and Business Development. She also lectured Call Centre Agents and Management courses at a major South African college.  She facilitates workshops on Time Management, Stress Management, Statistics, Customer Service, Telesales and Credit Control.


From 2001 to 2004 Jeanine was based on contract in Nigeria where she was a member of a team appointed to set up a 50 seat Emergency Management Service centre. The project involved the setting up of the complete operation including technologies, training of staff in emergency care, emergency vehicles, clinics and medical Insurance.  Whilst in Nigeria, Jeanine completed a Health & Safety Management Diploma through the British Safety Council and assisted with risk management for one of the larger Nigerian insurance companies. During her contract in Nigeria she sat on the Executive Committee of the 1st African Health Summit held in Abuja in March 2003.  In 2004 she returned to South Africa and started her own consulting and training company, ProCall Solutions Africa Limited, specializing in Emergency Management Solutions, Emergency Call Centre Training and Consulting. In 2007 Jeanine was selected to attend a Trade Mission with the Department of Trade and Industry to the Netherlands whereby she participated in networking and possible ventures between the Netherlands and South Africa.  In 2010 she returned to Nigeria to run a specialized Cardiac and Renal Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.


Jeanine is a member of the South African Bureau of Standards Technical Committee (TC99) assigned to the compiling of operational standards for the Contact Centre Industry. She is also an executive member of the South African Nigerian business Forum, member of the Medical Advisory Board for Rescue Technologies and has assisted Lagos State Emergency Services with the drafting of the paramedic curriculum and operational guidelines.  She is also a popular speaker and workshop facilitator.
