Wale has been in the forefront of tourism management and tourism/hospitality research for well over 16 years, an avid supporter of sustainable tourism development initiatives especially in rural developing communities.


A key member of the Lagos State Eco Tourism master-plan Project, he is also a senior staff at the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, working in various capacity in the Research and Development Unit, instrumental in identifying, harnessing and developing the medical tourism potentials of Lagos State and also seeking new inroads in medical tourism.


An active participant and organizing member of various tourism events, festivals, promotional and marketing initiatives. Also collaborating with other key sectors of the industry in fashioning and  examining ways of utilizing social media as a tourism driver and exploring ways of developing sustainable community based tourism.


Wale is also a consultant in tourism business management, hospitality management, medical tourism and presently an operational consultant with, Leisure and Hotel Management Limited and TA Consulting UK.


Wale holds a Master’s degree in Geography with specialization in (Climatology) Climate Change from the University of Ibadan and Masters in Retailing and Tourism Management from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky.


Wale loves cooking, playing scrabble, soccer, reading and travelling.
